The Skygor. A name that still sends shivers down the spine of the civilized world, even 600 years after the fall of the Skygor empire. To put it simply, the Skygor are a confederation of orc and hobgoblin tribes that once ruled over a huge swath of Northwestern Varaldia. Their ain rivals for power were the cities of Pyrelem, an alliance of a mysterious race now known only as the _____. The two nations warred against each other for centuries before the Skygor finally gained the upper hand through sheer numbers. They overran the cities of Pyrelem one by one and sacked them.
When their God-King, a being called The Molten Monarch, disappeared the Skygor lost the spiritual cohesion and centeal authority that bound them together. The lands fell apart in civil war. Millions of orcs died and many more spread down the western coast of Varaldia. Maaj Dessunah kept the orc refugees at bay, but the lands of the Cor were ravaged before the orcs eventually settled in the mountains west of modern day Oshurin.
